hair thinning and hair loss treatment

Our Range of Hair Thinning and Hair Loss Treatment Include:

Oral hair strengthening capsules

Whilst these capsules may not prevent hereditary hair loss from occurring, it can give your hair a much better chance of surviving, strengthen and increase volume in the hair you have, and avoid unnecessary hair loss from other causes. We have a range of medical grade oral capsules which contain the vital ingredients to give your hair the best chance for regrowth.

Steroid injections for Hair Loss Treatment

The steroid injections may help resolve small patches of hair loss and thinning. A steroid solution is injected straight into the scalp, several times at multiple points on the scalp The steroid stops the immune system from attacking hair follicles and over the course of hair loss treatments hair regrowth is stimulated.

PRP injections for Hair Loss Treatment

Protein rich plasma taken from blood sample from the arm are separated from the blood by using a centrifuge system. Then the PRP which contains essential growth factors to stimulate the skins hair regrowth is reinjected at multiple points in to the scalp.

Clinical studies have shown combining PRP injections with steroid injections gives increased regrowth of hair that PRP alone would not achieve.

Carboxytherapy for Hair Loss Treatment

Carboxytherapy for hair loss is a non-surgical treatment, which involves small injections of CO2 or carbon dioxide gas below the skin’s surface. The hair loss treatment stimulates hair growth by improving circulation, oxygenation, and the supply of nutrients to the scalp and can be combined with other hair loss treatments for hair restoration or with hair transplant surgery. It now has many medical applications.

Carbon dioxide or CO2 gas has a vasodilatory effect which causes it to make blood vessels relax and expand or dilate. This reduces blood pressure in the vessels and ensures a better flow of oxygen-rich blood to the area, just what you need to stimulate natural hair regrowth, improve hair follicle function and wake up dormant hair follicles.

Designed to provide a specialised solution to improve hair thickness and rebuild hair loss, many treatments, including carboxytherapy, can be combined to treat conditions such as male pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia. It is also a good option for treating patches of hair loss or where a hairline is receding.

The microinjection of carbon dioxide gas just below the surface of the skin stimulates oxygen-rich blood flow to the scalp, increasing the efficacy of the existing network of capillaries and blood vessels, improving circulation, and stimulating the healing and growth of new hair.

How Long Does the Treatment Take?

A course of hair loss treatments and maintenance top-ups are required to achieve good, long-lasting results, but as treatment is minimally invasive with no downtime and it can be combined with other hair restoration options, it is a good solution for treating hair loss. Results start to become more and more evident after two or three months

Carboxytherapy involves the therapeutic administration of small quantities of medical-grade gaseous CO2 or carbon dioxide into the subcutaneous tissues through a fine needle into the scalp. The body responds by sending oxygen to the area and in turn, this triggers a number of rejuvenating reactions such as increased blood flow, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) induction, microcirculation, regulation of the pH level and the production of new collagen (neo-collagenases).

How Does Carboxytherapy Work for Hair Loss Treatment?

Carboxytherapy works as a hair loss treatment by triggering a process of oxygenation and improving circulation in the area that is injected. It does this by making the red blood cells release oxygen and pick up the C02 so it can be eliminated from the body. This process effectively breathes new life into the hair follicle, which stimulates hair growth.

If you have thinning hair or a receding hairline carboxytherapy is most ideally suited to those in the early stages of hair loss and is not a substitute for a hair transplant, but also works well as an adjunct to hair restoration surgery.

You will need to undergo a consultation with Dr Sagoo to assess your suitability for hair loss and hair thinning treatment. A full medical history will be taken to ensure that there are no medical reasons which contraindicate you from having carbon dioxide gas therapy.

An examination of your head and scalp will also be required and a full discussion about your concerns and expectations will take place, to ensure you have realistic ideas about potential results.

Low level Light Therapy for Hair Loss Treatment

We at the clinic use the most powerful medical grade LED device in world to give your hair the best chance for regrowth: two to three sessions of light therapy each week which is combined using specifically designed protocols by Dr Sagoo to give hair the best chance for regrowth.

Minoxidil for Hair Loss Treatment

Minoxidil may have some benefit as a hair loss treatment. There may be tingling, or slight pain in affected areas. Hair may grow back in some parts of the scalp, temporarily or permanently.

Prescription based Finasteride for men

Finasteride is a type of medicine called a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It works by stopping testosterone (a sex hormone) from turning into another hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT can cause your prostate to grow. It can also stop your hair from growing.

Finasteride stops DHT from being produced and this reduces hair loss.

Excimer laser for bald patches (Alopecia Areata)

Laser hair loss treatment using a wavelength of energy of 308 nm specifically can estimate hair regrowth in areas of the scalp where there have been hair loss patches. The clinic one of very few in the UK treats this specific hair loss condition with laser effectively.

All consultations are initially with Dr Sagoo, who will discuss a personal programme of hair loss treatments for particular concerns of hair loss. The clinic under Dr Sagoo offers medical-grade laser excimer treatments as well as prescription creams, steroid injections and light therapy.
